INDUSTRIAL VISIT REPORT Date: 8th, 11th, and 13th February 2025 Industry: Dairy Day Ice Cream Factory Location: Harohalli, Ramanagara Classes Attended: • 6th Semester B.Com - 70 Students • 4th Semester B.Com (B Section) - 40 Students • 2nd Semester B.Com - 120 Students • 6th Semester BBA - 40 Students As part of the academic curriculum, students from various semesters of B.Com and BBA visited Dairy Day Ice Cream Factory in Harohalli, Ramanagara. The objective of the visit was to provide students with practical insights into the functioning of a large-scale food manufacturing unit, supply chain management and quality control processes. Dairy Day is a well-established ice cream brand known for its wide range of flavors and strong market presence in South India. The factory at Harohalli is equipped with modern production facilities, adhering to high standards of hygiene and efficiency. Visit Highlights • Factory Tour: Students observed the different stages of ice cream production, from raw material procurement to packaging. • Quality Control & Hygiene: A session was conducted on the importance of quality checks and maintaining hygiene standards in the food industry. • Supply Chain & Logistics: The management team explained the distribution network and logistics involved in delivering products across various regions. • Sustainability Practices: The factory showcased its efforts toward energy-efficient production and waste management. Student Learnings • Practical understanding of production management and operations. • Insights into quality assurance and compliance with food safety regulations. • Knowledge of marketing and supply chain strategies in the FMCG sector. • Awareness of career opportunities in the food and beverage industry. Additionally, after the industrial visit, students visited Pyramid Valley International and The Art of Living International Center to explore mindfulness, meditation, and personal well-being.
