C2FC Training Report - Bangalore Integrated Management Academy Introduction: “The Campus to Tech-enabled Financial Careers (C2FC)” Training Program was conducted by TNS India Foundation for the students of Bangalore Integrated Management Academy from September to December 2024. This 200-hour training program was aimed at equipping students with essential skills to transition smoothly from academic life to employment. The program encompassed three key segments: 21st-century employability skills, finance, and tech skills, including Advanced Excel and Power BI. Program Overview: The primary objective of the C2FC program was to enhance the employability of students by developing critical skills required in the modern workforce. Through comprehensive training in financial and technical concepts, students were prepared to meet the demands of the job market and navigate the complexities of transitioning from college to a professional career. 50 students successfully completed their training. These students are now eagerly awaiting placement opportunities, having gained the knowledge and confidence required to secure roles in the industry. Key Components of the Program: 1. 21st Century Employability Skills: The program focused on crucial employability skills such as communication, Time-management and Decision making. These skills were developed through a series of interactive sessions, discussions, and hands-on activities that helped students build their confidence and improve their professional communication abilities. 2. Finance Segment: The finance component covered topics related to financial analysis, investment strategies and industry trends. Students were trained in understanding financial concepts and how they are applied in real-world scenarios. This segment enabled students to develop the foundational knowledge needed for a career in finance. Master classes were also conducted online where students were grouped with other college students and to encourage social interaction and teamwork which would also aid in communication when presented with a job opportunity. 3. Tech Skills (Advanced Excel & Power BI): In the tech segment, students were provided in-depth training in Advanced Excel and Power BI. They learned to analyze data, and present it effectively through interactive dashboards. The students’ ability to create and present these dashboards was a significant highlight of their training, showcasing their technical proficiency and analytical capabilities. Mock Interviews and Group Discussions with Career Support: One of the standout features of the C2FC program was the inclusion of mock interviews and mock group discussions. These sessions offered one-one interactions with students for a realistic experience of the interview process, helping them overcome common challenges and gain a better understanding of employer expectations. The practice they gained through these exercises played a vital role in preparing them for actual job interviews and contributed significantly to boosting their confidence.Additionally, Career Support was offered to help students explore career pathways and make informed decisions for their future. Corporate Linkage Session: A Corporate Linkage session was conducted to expose students to potential career paths and industry opportunities. This session served as a platform for students to understand the corporate world and explore the various career opportunities available. It also provided valuable insights into the expectations and skills required by employers. Program Impact: Throughout the training program, there was a noticeable improvement in the students’ communication skills, critical thinking, and overall approach to problem-solving. The change in their thought processes and professionalism was evident, demonstrating the positive impact the training had on their personal and professional growth. Conclusion: The C2FC Training Program has been a transformative experience for the students at Bangalore Integrated Management Academy. The comprehensive training, combined with practical exercises like mock interviews, group discussions and dashboard creation, has prepared them to face the challenges of the job market with confidence. With 50 students successfully completing the program, they are now well-equipped to embark on their professional journeys and look forward to securing promising job placements.
