Company Overview: Bangalore Milk Union Limited (BAMUL) is one of the largest dairy cooperatives in Karnataka, responsible for the procurement, processing, and marketing of milk and milk products under the Nandini brand. Mandya Milk Union Limited (MAMUL) operates similarly, ensuring quality milk production and distribution in the Mandya region. Key Learning Outcomes: Milk Procurement and Processing: Students gained insights into the collection, testing and processing of raw milk. Quality Control Measures: Explanation of various quality testing techniques to ensure milk purity and safety. Production & Packaging: Automated and manual processes involved in milk and dairy product packaging. Supply Chain Management: Understanding the logistics behind milk distribution. Business & Financial Management: Learning about cooperative functioning, revenue generation and market expansion strategies. Student Feedback: The students found the visit highly informative and engaging. They appreciated the practical exposure and understood the complexities involved in dairy production and management.
